This is the famous 633A “salt shaker” mic first produced by Western Electric and later by Altec. It is a rugged, low-impedance dynamic mic that can be mounted vertically for non-directional pickup or horizontally for directional pickup. It was popular with radio stations for many years. They are difficult to find complete and in good condition. This one is in excellent condition with only minor scratches on the finish. It also includes a brand-new cable, the hard-to-find swivel mount, and split ring 5⁄8"-24 to 5⁄8"-27 adapter needed to mount it to a modern stand.
